Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 1044 increases the number of members on the Legislative Education Study Commit-
tee by 2 in order to equalize the number of senators and representatives.

This bill carries an emergency clause.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
For the remainder of fiscal year 2005, LESC will meet an average of 3 days during the months of
April, May and June. At a cost of $141.00/day adding 2 committee members will result in a cost
of $846.00.
In fiscal year 2006, LESC will meet 10 months during the fiscal year at an average of 3 days per
meeting at a rate of $141.00/day for 2 additional members will result in a cost of $8,460.00.
