Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 989 – Making an Appropriation to the Center for Regional Studies at the University
of New Mexico for Graduate Student Scholarships, Internships, Fellowships, Research Grants,
Documentaries and Library Collections – appropriates $250,000 is appropriated from the general
fund to the Board of Regents of the University of New Mexico for expenditure in FY06 and sub-
sequent fiscal years for the Center for Regional Studies to provide for graduate student scholar-
ships, internships, fellowships, research grants, documentaries and library collections. Any un-
expended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the
general fund.
