SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

Senate Bill 922 appropriates $48.6 thousand from the general fund to the local government divi-

sion of DFA for distribution to Questa to establish a library.

Significant Issues

According to DFA and the Village of Questa, Questa has already begun the establishment of a

library. It has created an advisory board and obtained a 1600 square foot portable building. The

appropriation in this bill would be used to add on to the portable building and make other im-

provements, including bringing the portable up to ADA standards.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS

The appropriation of $48.6 thousand contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general

fund. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY 06 shall revert to

the general fund.
