SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 772 appropriates $150 thousand from the general fund to TRD for three full-time
staff employees for the motor vehicle division (MVD) field office in Dona Ana County.
Significant Issues
MVD’s Las Cruces field office has 17 FTEs and processes more than 7,000 transactions per
month, the highest average number of transactions per month of all MVD field offices in the
state.
The Las Cruces field office is scheduled to receive an additional 2 FTE if HB201 or similar leg-
islation increasing administrative fees on MVD transactions is enacted.
