Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 633 – Making an Appropriation for Additional Funds for Instruction and General
Purposes for the Taos Branch of the University of New Mexico – appropriates $100,000 from the
general fund to the Board of Regents of the University of New Mexico for expenditure in FY06
for instruction and general purposes for the Taos branch campus. Any unexpended or unencum-
bered balance remaining at the end of FY06 shall revert to the general fund.
Significant Issues
This project is not included in CHE’s 2005-2006 Higher Education Funding Recommendation.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $100,000 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY06 shall revert to the gen-
