Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 613 appropriates $21,000.0 to the education technology bureau of the PED, for iden-
tifying and correcting educational technology deficiencies in public schools.
Significant Issues
The bill provides funding for fiscal years FY05 and FY06 although the bill does not provide for
an emergency provision.
PED states education technology includes all components of informational technology which is a
complex, integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas, devices, and organization for
analyzing problems, and devising, implementing, evaluating and managing solutions to prob-
lems.
