SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 575 appropriates $1,260.0 from the general fund to Department of Military Affairs
for the purpose of providing supplemental and hardship pay for National Guard personnel de-
ployed for national defense.
This bill contains an emergency clause.
PERFORMANCE IMPLICATIONS
DMA states it would have to establish a separate procedure and process to address “supplemental
pay” standards and other eligibility criteria for New Mexico National Guard personnel.

FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $1,260.0 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert
to the general fund.
