SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
Senate Bill 502 – Making an Appropriation to to the Board of Regents of the University of New
Mexico for a Native American Access to Justice Project – appropriates $352,000 from the gen-
eral fund to the Board of Regents of the University of New Mexico for expenditure in FY06 to
establish a Native American Access to Justice Project under the School of Law, in cooperation
with the American Indian Law Center, Incorporated, and DNA-People's Legal Services, Incorpo-
rated. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY06 shall revert to
the general fund.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
The appropriation of $352,000 contained in this bill is a recurring expense to the general fund.
