SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Joint Memorial requires Aging and Long Term Care Department and the Department of
Public Safety to conduct a feasibility study regarding implementation of a notification and broad-
cast alert program for missing and endangered senior citizens in New Mexico. The study is to
include the cooperation of other agencies as appropriate. The Aging and Long Term Care De-
partment and the Department of Public Safety are to report the results of the study, including leg-
islative recommendations, to the appropriate interim legislative committee by November 1, 2005.
FISCAL IMPLICATIONS
Aging and Long Term Care Department and the Department of Public Safety will incur the cost
of implementing the feasibility study.
ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS
Aging and Long Term Care Department and the Department of Public Safety will need to assign
staff to conduct the feasibility study.
