Synopsis of Bill

House Joint Memorial 37 recognizes and commends the New Mexico Parent Teacher Associa-

tion for ninety years of service to students in New Mexico.

Significant Issues

The mission of the New Mexico Parent Teacher Association is to initiate, support, enrich and

advocate for such involvement throughout the state. Adult involvement in the education and life

experience of children is of critical importance to the development of a healthy citizen in New

Mexico.

The New Mexico Parent Teacher Association was formally organized on May 17, 1915 to pursue

the goal of raising children to make better citizens.

House Joint Memorial 37 commends the organization for the invaluable and outstanding contri-

bution it has made to the children and the educational system.
