SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
HJM 27 expresses support for improvements to the Paseo Del Norte and Interstate 25 inter-
change located in the City of Albuquerque.
Significant Issues
Paseo Del Norte is a New Mexico Posted Route, NM 423. I-25 is part of the Federal Interstate
Highway System. Because this interchange has a regional effect and is located in the Albuquer-
que Metropolitan Planning Organization area, the Mid-Region Council of Governments
(MRCOG) is responsible for initiating planning to make any improvements.
The MRCOG has not included any such project in their planning documents submitted to the
NM Department of Transportation.
There are no projects related to this interchange in the current State Transportation Improvement
Plan. This plan determines where the State will spend formula funds from the Federal Highway
