SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 810 appropriates $23,000 from the general fund to the Department of Finance and
Administration (DFA) in FY06 to contract for provision of summer enrichment programming for
youth in the communities of Truchas, Ojo Sarco and Cordova.
Significant Issues
DFA indicates the appropriation in this bill will be used for staff, materials, supplies, field trips
and other activities for a summer enrichment program that would be administered by Mountain
View Elementary School faculty. The program will provide services to youth ages 6 to 13 and
will provide activities for reading, art, dance, music and physical activities.
The Public Education Department (PED) noted this bill provides opportunities for students,
teachers, parents and community members
