SUMMARY

Synopsis of HGUAC Substitute

The House Government and Urban Affairs Committee Substitute for House Bill 723 allows the

Bernalillo County Commissioners to delegate review and approval of any or all subdivision plats

to either a county administrative officer or to the county planning commission.

Significant Issues

This bill would provide more flexibility and streamline the review procedures for smaller subdi-

vision plats. It would preserve the requirements for public hearings on preliminary plats and for

appeals of decisions by a delegate of the commission to the full board of county commissioners.
