SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 704 provides for the appointment by the State Game Commission of one or more ad-
visory committees to provide advice, evaluations and recommendations for wildlife management
projects using revenue generated from habitat stamp sales.
The bill also exempts this advisory board from sunset provisions which apply to all advisory
boards created.
Significant Issues
The department reports it receives valuable services from this board and would like it to become
a standing committee exempt from sunset provisions contained in Section 9-1-9 NMSA 1978
which restricts advisory boards to a two year life with a maximum of a two year extension.
