SUMMARY
Synopsis of SFl #1 Amendment
The Senate Floor Amendment removes SFC amendments.
The amendment also amends sections of the Medical Insurance Pool (Pool) Regulations to in-
crease the premium tax offset from 30% to 50% for low income premium contracts and to elimi-
nate eligibility in the Pool if the member becomes eligible for medicare or medicaid. This
amendment will result in revenue loss to the general fund. The participating insurance companies
will receive a larger offset for low income enrollees.
The amendment makes an unemployed former employee who has not exhausted COBRA cover-
age eligible.
This act is repealed effective July 1, 2010.
