SUMMARY
Synopsis of Bill
House Bill 480 creates a “Corrections Department Community Supervision Fund” to replace the
“Corrections Department Intensive Supervision Fund”. The new fund is to be overseen by the
State Treasurer that would require all probation and parole supervision fees collected by the New
Mexico Corrections Department be placed into this fund. The proposed legislation states the
fees collected are to be used to help fund and operate all of the Department’s supervision pro-
grams.
