A MEMORIAL

CONGRATULATING THE KIRTLAND, NEW MEXICO, GIRLS ON THEIR STATE BASKETBALL VICTORY.

     WHEREAS, the Kirtland central high school girls basketball team won the state girls basketball class 4A championship on March 11, 2005; and

     WHEREAS, this marks the third consecutive state championship for the Kirtland "Lady Broncos"; and

     WHEREAS, Coach Mike Christie led the Lady Broncos to their fourth state championship in the past five years; and

     WHEREAS, this is the seventeenth Lady Broncos state championship in the past twenty-five years; and

     WHEREAS, the Lady Broncos defeated Deming sixty-five to fifty before eleven thousand fans;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the senate of the state of New Mexico that the Lady Broncos and their coach have earned the congratulations of the senate and the respect of their opponents; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to central high school in Kirtland, New Mexico.
