AN ACT

RELATING TO ELECTIONS; SETTING THE PRIMARY ELECTION DATE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. Section 1-8-11 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1969, Chapter 240, Section 160) is amended to read:

     "1-8-11. PRIMARY ELECTION LAW--TIME OF HOLDING PRIMARY.--A primary election shall be held in each county in this state on the Tuesday after the first Monday in June of each even-numbered year."
