AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A PROGRAM TO PREPARE AMERICAN INDIAN STUDENTS FOR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to fund a program to prepare incoming American Indian freshmen students for post-secondary education at the university of New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
