AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE A TEN PERCENT SALARY INCREASE TO OFFICERS OF THE MOTOR TRANSPORTATION DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-three thousand dollars ($123,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide a ten percent salary increase to officers of the motor transportation division of the department of public safety. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
