AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR HEROIN ADDICTION TREATMENT IN TAOS COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide heroin addiction treatment in Taos county using a drug formulation of buprenorphine and naloxone. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
