AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE WORKLOAD FUNDING FOR ADULT BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred forty-three thousand six hundred dollars ($843,600) is appropriated from the general fund to the commission on higher education for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide full workload funding pursuant to the state adult basic education funding formula. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
