AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO EXPAND AND OPERATE SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS IN THE STATE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public health division of the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to expand and operate school-based health centers in the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
