AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CULTURAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO IMPLEMENT AND OPERATE A PROGRAM FOR YOUTH EDUCATION IN THE PERFORMING ARTS IN SANTA FE COUNTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to implement and operate a program for youth education in the performing arts, including staging, lighting, sound production, technical production and participation in dance performances, orchestral performances, theatrical performances, opera performances and small ensemble performances. The program shall be conducted in a year-round performing arts center located in Santa Fe. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
