AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF RETIRING CERTAIN LOANS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION--NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY.--Two million five hundred twenty thousand dollars ($2,520,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the purpose of paying the principal balance on outstanding loans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
