AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF GAME AND FISH SALARY ADJUSTMENTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($975,000) is appropriated from the game protection fund to the department of game and fish for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for salary increases. The effective date of the salary increases will be the first full pay period after December 31, 2005. Any pay adjustments will be based upon a proficiency and capability pay plan adopted by the department of game and fish, in conjunction with the state personnel office. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the game protection fund.
