AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO INCREASE PAYMENTS TO CERTAIN HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to increase payments to physicians for anesthesia services provided pursuant to the medicaid program to ensure access to these essential services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
