    Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 539

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 1, after "equipment," insert "information technology equipment, systems and service of any type, voice, data and low-voltage infrastructure systems inside the court quarters in compliance with the telecommunication standard for building and campus distribution systems promulgated by the general services department, janitorial services,".

    2. On page 2, lines 5 and 6, strike Paragraph (1) in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

             "(1) "adequate quarters" includes:

                  (a) permanent fixtures;

                  (b) voice, data and low-voltage infrastructure systems outside the court quarters in compliance with the telecommunication standard for building and campus distribution systems promulgated by the general services department;

                  (c) general security for the building in which the quarters are located; and

                  (d) window and floor coverings as determined by the board of county commissioners;

             (2) "adequate quarters" does not include:

                  (a) moving expenses;

                  (b) movable personal property;

                  (c) particularized security for court rooms and court personnel;

                  (d) information technology equipment, systems and service of any type, including basic wire telephone equipment, systems and service; and

                  (e) special configurations of quarters space to accommodate moveable personal property, including computer cabling, conduit and plenums and raised floors to accommodate computer cabling;".

    3. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.

    4. On page 2, line 8, before "quarters" insert "adequate" and before "utilities" insert "necessary".

    5. On page 2, line 9, before the semicolon insert ", but does not include janitorial services".

    6. On page 2, strike lines 10 through 13, and insert in lieu thereof:

             "(4) "necessary utilities" includes only electricity, lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and restroom facilities and garbage, refuse and recycling services.".

    7. On page 2, lines 17 and 18, strike "intranet and internet wire and wireless computer access" and insert in lieu thereof "information technology equipment, systems and service of any type".

    8. On page 2, line 19, before "quarters" insert "adequate".

    9. On page 3, lines 6 and 7, strike Paragraph (1) in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof:

             "(1) "adequate quarters" includes:

                  (a) permanent fixtures;

                  (b) voice, data and low-voltage infrastructure systems outside the district attorney quarters in compliance with the telecommunication standard for building and campus distribution systems promulgated by the general services department;

                  (c) general security for the building in which the quarters are located; and

                  (d) window and floor coverings as determined by the board of county commissioners;

             (2) "adequate quarters" does not include:

                  (a) moving expenses;

                  (b) movable personal property;

                  (c) particularized security for district attorney offices and district attorney personnel;

                  (d) information technology equipment, systems and service of any type, including basic wire telephone equipment, systems and service and voice, data and low voltage infrastructure systems inside the district attorney quarters in compliance with the telecommunication standard for building and campus distribution systems promulgated by the general services department; and

                  (e) special configurations of quarters space to accommodate moveable personal property, including computer cabling, conduit, plenums and raised floors to accommodate computer cabling;".

    10. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.
