AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ATHLETIC PROGRAMS AT NEW MEXICO HIGHLANDS UNIVERSITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the following purposes:

                (1) one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) for a men's wrestling program; and

                (2) one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) for a women's rodeo program.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
