AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR A PROSTATE CANCER OUTREACH PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for a prostate cancer outreach program to promote education and awareness of men throughout New Mexico so that they are able to make informed decisions for the detection and management of prostate cancer. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
