AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR A PRESCHOOL PROGRAM SERVING CHILDREN WITH EARLY BIRTHDAYS AND MINIMAL OR NO PRESCHOOL EXPERIENCE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for a preschool program for children with early birthdays and minimal or no preschool experience. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
