AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE ECONOMIC EDUCATION INSTRUCTION AND OTHER BUSINESS-RELATED TRAINING FOR ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS IN THE STATE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to provide economic education instruction and other business-related training to elementary and secondary public school teachers in the state that is aligned with New Mexico social studies content standards, benchmarks and performance standards. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
