AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTINUE CRITICAL MEDICAL RESIDENCY PROGRAMS AT MAJOR HOSPITALS IN NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to continue funding the medical residency programs in Las Cruces, Roswell and Santa Fe for the benefit of the thousands of New Mexicans served through that program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
