    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 233, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

         1. Strike Senate Public Affairs Committee Amendment 4.

    2. On page 29, line 5, after the period insert:

    "If a child is not in custody or detention, a petition shall not be dismissed for failure to comply with the time limit set forth in this subsection unless there is a showing of actual and substantial prejudice to the child.".

    3. On page 40, lines 13 and 14, strike "no more than".

    4. On page 116, line 1, after "litem" insert "or attorney".

    5. On page 153, line 8, after the period, strike the remainder of the line and strike lines 9 through 11 in their entirety.
