AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR WATER MANAGEMENT RESEARCH AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS BY THE AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATION AND COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
A. Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university in the following amounts to the following organizations for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to conduct water management research and education programs:
(1) three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) to the agricultural experiment station; and
(2) three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) to the cooperative extension service.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
