AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A DROP-OFF AND ASSESSMENT CENTER FOR RUNAWAY YOUTH IN SANTA FE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 by the city of Santa Fe to collaborate with Santa Fe county in the development and implementation of a drop-off and assessment center for law enforcement and probation services dealing with runaway youth who are not eligible for detention. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
