AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A SANTA FE RIVER WATER MASTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ninety thousand dollars ($90,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of the state engineer for expenditure in fiscal years 2006 and subsequent fiscal years to create a water district for the Santa Fe river system and appoint a water master to oversee the apportionment of the waters of the district. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
