AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR A PROGRAM TO INCREASE SOCIAL INTERACTIONS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS AND PROVIDE TRAINING FOR STAFF AND CAREGIVERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ten thousand dollars ($10,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to contract with a community-based organization in Dexter, New Mexico, to increase social interactions for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and to provide training for staff and caregivers of participating children. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
