AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR FORMER GOVERNOR BRUCE KING'S ARCHIVES AND READING ROOM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO SCHOOL OF LAW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--
A. Two hundred ninety-two thousand three hundred dollars ($292,300) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the following purposes and in the following amounts:
(1) two hundred four thousand dollars ($204,000) for phase I for conservation, processing and document indexing of the donation of personal papers of Governor Bruce King; and
(2) eighty-eight thousand three hundred dollars ($88,300) for phase II for furnishing and staffing the Bruce King reading room.
B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
