AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE SUPERCOMPUTING TRAINING TO MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixty thousand dollars ($160,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for a statewide program that trains middle and high school students on the use of supercomputers, improves the skills and technical knowledge of students and improves teaching techniques in science, mathematics, engineering and technology. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
