AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FOR PROCESSING FINGERPRINT-SUPPORTED ARREST RECORD INFORMATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Nine hundred thousand dollars ($900,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of public safety for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to process fingerprint-supported arrest record information maintained by the department and to provide access to the state's criminal history database. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
