AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR EXPANSION OF MUSEUM OUTREACH SERVICES STATEWIDE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION--MUSEUM SERVICES.--One hundred fifty-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($157,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the cultural affairs department for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 for the museum services division to expand outreach, exhibition development, collections care, materials conservation, business development skills, training workshops, technical assistance and site visits to assist the one hundred seventy public and private museums throughout the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
