    Your BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 850

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 15, through page 2, line 5, strike Section 1 in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new section:

     "Section 1. ELECTION OF METHODS OF INSURING STREET NEWSPAPER VENDORS.--A newspaper that has vendors who sell newspapers along or in a public thoroughfare shall either provide accidental injury insurance or workers' compensation insurance, even though the vendor is an independent contractor.".
