AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LEGISLATIVE FINANCE COMMITTEE TO DETERMINE THE FINANCING OPTIONS OF THE HEALTH PLAN PURSUANT TO THE PROPOSED HEALTH SECURITY ACT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the legislative finance committee for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to determine the financing options of the health plan pursuant to the proposed Health Security Act contingent upon enactment of House Bill 746 or Senate Bill 636 of the forty-seventh legislature, first session. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
