HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE BILL 828, as amended

    1. Strike House Judiciary Committee Amendment 1.

    2. On page 1, line 12, after "COMPANIES" insert "AND PAGING SERVICE COMPANIES".

    3. On page 2, line 16, after "company" insert "and paging service company".

    4. On page 2, line 18, after "customers" insert "at no additional expense to the recipient or to any service that accepts the information from the authorized requester and delivers it to the cellular service or paging service company".

    5. On page 3, line 19, strike "services" and insert in lieu thereof "service company or paging service".

    6. On page 3, after line 25, insert the following subsection:

         "B. The authorized requester may designate one or more services to accept notification of an AMBER alert and deliver the notification to each cellular service company or paging service company. Connections with the services shall be made in the most technically efficient manner possible, using standard network sharing protocol from authorized agencies or their respective communication contractors.".

    7. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

    8. On page 4, line 2, strike "services" and insert in lieu thereof "service company or paging service".
