AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PERMANENT WATER HARVESTING DEMONSTRATION PROJECT ON THE SANTA FE RAILYARD PARK AND PLAZA.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION--SANTA FE RAILYARD PARK AND PLAZA.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to assist the city of Santa Fe in funding the ongoing effort by a national nonprofit land conservation organization to plan, design and develop a permanent water harvesting demonstration project for sustainable water management on the Santa Fe railyard park and plaza. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
