Mr. Speaker:

    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 778

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 25, strike "and" and after line 25, insert the following new subsection:

          "B. "returning adult" means a student enrolling in a public post-secondary educational institution at any time later than the first semester following high school graduation or the award of a general educational development certificate; and".

     2. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

     3. On page 3, line 2, after "on" insert "a" and after "need" insert "formula calculated".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
