AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE TEACHER EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT CENTER IN GRANTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to increase the number of students in the teacher education center in Grants and to increase the number of teachers who complete the program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
