AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SLOAN DIGITAL SKY SURVEY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to match other grants for participation in the Sloan digital sky survey. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
