AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FACILITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2006 to operate the forty-eight bed transitional housing facility to be located on land purchased by Bernalillo county for the metro assessment and treatment services program. The appropriation is contingent upon funding the construction of the transitional housing facility. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2006 shall revert to the general fund.
